Dr. Joyce Chan Grabell directs CCM Prep's Suzuki strings program and leads its partnership with Cincinnati Public Schools' string programs. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts from CCM and master's and bachelor's degrees from New York University, where she also taught as adjunct instructor of violin and viola. She has served as a clinician, adjudicator, and masterclass teacher throughout Ohio and Kentucky. Her students have won awards from the American Viola Society, Wendell Irish Viola Award, and Julia Bartels Concerto Competition, and regularly perform with the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra and Ohio Music Education Association's Region and All-State Orchestras.
