Heidi Bender Kauffman serves as the lead educator at the Southern Ohio Museum in Portsmouth, and is a member of The Trillium Project. Heidi has more than a decade of experience engaging teens, adults, and children in studios, workshops, and imaginative community programming. Her background also includes work with humanitarian nonprofits in the United States and Nicaragua, where she coordinated and led community-based programs that emphasized collaboration, cultural exchange, and social empowerment. As an artist focused on social practice and installation, Heidi has exhibited nationally and internationally and has been featured in 12 solo exhibitions and installations. Her artistic practice explores complex relationships between technology, ecology, and human networks. She holds an MFA in sculpture and expanded practice from Ohio University.
